Badamid PA11 is a high-performance polyamide based on renewable resources. Thus, Bada accommodates the key topic sustainability, which is and will become increasingly important. Like PA12, Badamid PA11 is used for technical applications with challenging property profiles. Among the most important applications are cable coatings, pipes, quick connectors, and fuel lines. Compared to the chemically quite similar PA12, Badamid PA11 has a higher dimensional stability under heat, considerably higher notched impact strengths, lower abrasion and a slightly higher hygroscopicity. Badamid PA11 can be provided in numerous product variants, e.g. impact-modified, glass fibre reinforced, flame retardant and dyed to customer specifications.
