Badamid PA12

The badamide PA12 belongs to the group of semi-crystalline thermoplastics based on lauric lactam. Of all polyamides, PA12 is characterised by the lowest water absorption. PA12 is also characterised by its high impact strength and comparatively good chemical resistance, resulting in typical applications such as brake and fuel lines, as well as in the fields of medical and housing technology. Excellent abrasion and sliding properties as well as high weather resistance round off the property profile of PA12. For these reasons, PA12 is particularly suitable for bearings and drive units in humid environments where high dimensional stability and media resistance are required. In the Badamid PA12 product group, Bada also offers liquid plasticised grades (PA12 FM-Z), which are used when high impact strength and elongation rates at low temperatures are required.
