The Badamid PPA product group consists of compounds based on partially aromatic polyamides. Thanks to their high heat deflection temperature, good chemical resistance and excellent mechanical properties, Badamid PPA compounds are an outstanding alternative in many applications where previously only metallic materials could be considered.Badamid PPA-HT only melts at temperatures in the region of approx. 330°C. As a glass fibre-reinforced compound, it exhibits maximum heat deflection temperature and very low water absorption. As a glass fibre-reinforced compound, it has excellent heat resistance and very low water absorption.Badamid PPA-GP has similar properties to Badamid PPA-HT, but can be processed at mould temperatures of less than 100°C. This means that it can be processed at shorter mould temperatures. Badamid PPA-HP and PPA-HP2 are blends of PPA with aliphatic polyamides. This combination provides easily processable compounds with very good mechanical properties and brilliant surface quality even at high filling levels.Badamid PPA-HPX and PPA-HP2X have comparable properties to Badamid PPA-HP and PPA-HP2. The major advantage lies in the significantly lower water absorption and processing at mould temperatures below 100°C. These compounds are also characterised by very good weld line strength.
